You have several options, including:

You can register in the state of your choosing, but we recommend incorporating your agency in Delaware due to the state’s favorable laws and business environment. Keep in mind that you may need to apply for state-specific licenses and permits if you’re conducting business in a different state from the one where your entity is registered. 

Regardless of where you choose to incorporate your business, we recommend using Stripe Atlas for filing your registration and getting a tax ID number from the IRS. And when it comes to state-specific insurance and payroll obligations, you can’t do much better than Gusto
