With a brand identity and website that tells you the how: how it did the research, how they came up with the conclusion, and how they think.

Symphonic Capital is a venture capital firm, started by GP Sydney Thomas, who has supported 100s of pre-seed founders started by GP Sydney Thomas.

The Project

Symphonic Capital is a brand that isn't trying to be everything for everyone. Slam Media Lab is partnering with Symphonic to build their new brand and website. First, we’ll start with a re-brand and develop a new identity that speaks directly to the audience of the brand. We’ll then use that identity as the foundation to build a new website.

Symphonic VC

Behind Symphonic Capital’s New Brand

Starting with brand strategy, we crafted a positioning with “Symphony” at the main differentiation of this emerging firm. The symphony represents the coming together of different types of instrumentalists, craftspeople at the top of their game, to create beautiful harmonies and movements. In brand identity, we elaborated on these, playing with music elements, and a color palette that is bold, playful, and shows excellence. We brought all these elements together in our design and build of their new website and collateral.

Having known Symphonic Capital’s leadership for years, we envisioned creating a brand that represented their values as entrepreneurs and investors: direct, real, transparent, substantive, excellence wins over everything.

Entrepreneurs First: Supporting Early Stage Startups

Symphonic Capital is committed to entrepreneurs who possess the ambition and courage to solve important problems. Plus, as an early stage VC fund, the work is risky. Most investors aren’t ready to support pre-seed startups. Symphonic’s differentiation? They are experienced to truly partner with them with tools and networks. The new website highlights Symphonic’s philosophy, the entrepreneurs, and the work that the team is/will be doing to be truly the best pre-seed venture capital firm.

An SEO-optimized Resource Hub for Entrepreneurs

Symphonic’s content helps portfolio companies, founders and teams stay informed on pre-seed market & tech perspectives. Our design focuses on what’s most important — the content. To highlight it, we created a blog that is easily readable on mobile, has a table of contents so folks can jump to the sections they need to, all while being optimized for SEO.
