Moquin Press

Webflow Design & Development

Moquin Press has manufactured packaging for 40 years. They produce sustainable cut & stack labels and folding cartons for food and beverage, cannabis, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical companies. Their specialty is Tree Free Upcycled Packaging—materials that would otherwise go to waste. Their WordPress site wasn't working. We rebuilt it.

Moquin Press had the credentials—SQF certification, ISO standards, industry-leading turnaround times. Their WordPress site just didn't show it. Too many plugins slowed everything down. Important information got buried under generic industry copy. Enterprise clients landing on the site couldn't answer a simple question: why switch suppliers? We built them a Webflow site with bold design and clear data visualization. Their team now updates content without calling a developer. The site loads in under two seconds.

Patience isn't always a virtue

The Challenge

How do you make a 40-year-old printing company look like the industry leader in sustainable packaging innovation?

Moquin Press came to us with a problem. They had impressive stats—industry-leading turnaround times, multiple sustainability certifications, and manufacturing capabilities most competitors couldn't match. But their website didn't show any of it.The existing WordPress site was cluttered with plugins that slowed everything down. Important information was buried under generic industry speak. The quote request process went through a third-party developer who forwarded emails manually. Enterprise clients landing on the site couldn't quickly answer the question: "Why should we switch to Moquin Press?"Bryan, the owner, knew what he wanted: metrics front and center. Bold design that stood out from the sea of beige packaging websites. A flexible system that his small team could manage without constantly calling developers.Juliana, the Marketing Director, needed to publish videos and thought leadership content without technical roadblocks. She needed the site to integrate directly with HubSpot. And she needed to be certain that if she moved on in a few years, the next person could easily take over.

The Journey

Finding the right visual language

Moquin Press wanted data front and center. They needed something modern that worked across all their industries—food, cannabis, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. The packaging industry typically plays it safe with neutral tones and conservative layouts.

We presented three mood board directions. They chose "Colorful and Bold" but wanted cleaner typography. We tested six color palettes, checking each for accessibility and readability. Electric greens with pure black and white won. High contrast. Simple. Nothing their competitors were using. The question became: how do you make sustainability metrics feel alive instead of just listing numbers?

Structuring for how buyers actually think

Moquin's old site organized content by product type. But their customers don't search that way. A food and beverage buyer wants to know: can you handle refrigerated sleeves? Frozen food boxes? Shelf-stable cartons? We mapped out user flows for each industry. Food & beverage needed sub-verticals. Cannabis needed product-specific pages (eighth boxes, pre-roll containers, displays).

Each path had to lead to relevant case studies and certifications.

Building a system they can own

Moquin Press was managing the WordPress site with a developer who forwarded quote requests manually. Every change required an email. The site had accumulated so many plugins it barely loaded. We needed to migrate to Webflow, integrate HubSpot directly, build a CMS their team could manage alone, and create a scheduling system for truck drivers booking receiving appointments. All while training a small team to take over completely. The question: could we hand off a complex system that anyone could learn in a few weeks?

The Solution

Metrics that demand attention

The home page opens with a full-screen video of Moquin's manufacturing floor. Scroll down and animated stats appear: turnaround times, sustainability certifications, production capacity. Each section uses bold green blocks and generous white space. The data commands the screen. Product photography sits against clean backgrounds. The design lets the packaging speak. No decoration competing with the actual work.

A CMS built for weekly publishing

The team now publishes case studies and articles without touching code. Want to embed a HubSpot form mid-article? One click. Need to update service pages? The CMS templates handle layout automatically. We created video walkthroughs for every function. Live training sessions before launch. Written documentation for the next person who takes over. The training covered edge cases—what happens if you need to pause before launch? What if a client changes their mind during design review? Moquin went from needing developer support for every update to managing everything themselves.

Design that breaks the mold

Packaging industry websites look the same. Neutral colors. Conservative layouts. Safe typography. Moquin makes Tree Free Upcycled Packaging—materials that would otherwise go to waste. Their site needed to reflect that same innovative thinking. We used electric greens against pure black and white.

High contrast throughout. Bold sans-serif typography that doesn't compete with product photography. Generous white space that lets the work breathe. Scroll animations bring stats to life without feeling gimmicky. Hover states on product images. Micro-interactions that reward exploration. The design positions Moquin as the company pushing the industry forward. Enterprise buyers in conservative industries notice when someone breaks from the pack. The design became a competitive advantage itself.

Hear What Our Client Has To Say

What really stood out was how much Silvia and Kyle genuinely cared about understanding our business and getting things right. They were incredibly communicative and organized throughout the project. They kept us on track with a clear timeline so we always knew what phase we were in and what was coming next. What really impressed me was how flexible and patient they were—when our owner Bryan wanted to iterate on certain design elements, they stayed enthusiastic and committed to getting every detail exactly right.
